I know I'm being provocative:
Men can know each other for five years and not disclose anything under the surface!
- Men seldom share their fears, failures or vulnerabilities!
- Women quickly share deep and inner secrets - 'girly' friendships that sometimes make husbands jealous!
- Men seldom have five good friends over an entire lifetime
- Men loathe to look into another man's eyes - they prefer to walk alongside another man!
- Self-sufficiency and capability are at the heart of manhood
- Fellowship for men is forged out of 'doing' and 'striving'
- Few men would admit to a real need for authentic friendships
- Interestingly ministry is generally directed at children, youth, women and seniors. What happens to the men?
How often when men are asked, "How are you?" will they say FINE - even if they are hurting inside?
FINE = Feeling Inadequate; Needing Encouragement!
